I, too, suffer from depression and it really is a big secret for me. Aside from DH and a handful of friends, no one knows about it. This is because where I live there is still this big stigma put on the disease. I have heard people talk about those with depression and say &quot;they should just suck it up.&quot; I didn&#39;t even get help until I went to a seminar on Mental Health and the speaker compared depression to diabetes...saying &quot;Would you tell someone with diabetes to suck it up or get over it?&quot; They can&#39;t becuase there bodies are not producing enough of a certain hormone...just like depression. So, with that said, you are my inspiration. Why do we as women feel guilty of being ill. <br />I have a couple of illness&#39;. One of them the same as you.
